Here's My New Flyer!

So, here it is. The first marketing campaign of Creative Expressions Paper Crafting has officially begun. Actually, it's really just a flyer... :) You can take a peek at it below.

So, I've dropped a few flyers in the neighborhood and I have mailed a few to friends for whom I have done some work before. I am just trying to get the word out there....that I am up and running again!
For anyone having specific questions, or wanting a quote on some work, please email me. You will find my email address at the bottom of this page.

Feeding Into the Princess Frenzy

Unless you have been living under a rock, you know that anything princess themed is 'in'. With that in mind I sat down to make this 'girly' card as part of my friend Stefanie's custom card order. She wanted childrens' birthday cards, and I had this cute fairytale themed stamp set from Close To My Heart that I was really eager to use.

When you open the card the center panel (with the castle) actually swings around to reveal your message on the other side.

In this case, it says 'happy birthday' on the bottom right, with space in the middle to personalize the card.

This 'new home' card was also part of the same order. It is new to my repertoire. It design is actually very similar to one of the mini albums that I make (yet to be posted). I found the template for this card online. I don't have a photo of how it folds out...I will have to make sure to take a photo of it opened up the next time I make one. This one has already been mailed off!

Well, I'm off! More to come later! :)

Christmas Is In The Air

I decided that with the big holiday sneaking up on us so quickly, I should probably post some of my recent Christmas projects.

I'm really happy with how this card turned out, although the picture quality is a bit crummy. I still have to figure out how to best photograph my projects. I really must find the time to read my camera manual! I guess I will just add that to my 'to do' list!

It is difficult to tell in this photo...but the letters on this card are actually embossed. It gives them a nice raised, smooth look to them.

Earlier in the month, I spent an evening at my friend Joanne's house with a really nice group of ladies. We made these little projects that Joanne designed. They will make great teachers' gifts. They are just big enough to hold a few little chocolates. They would also make great favors for a party or shower. Very cute and easy to make!

Well, I must run....my craft table is calling!

Busy Working Away!

So, I have been keeping pretty busy working away...trying to gain some business in the card making/scrapbooking industry on this side of the pond!

I enlisted Kevin's help to make up a flyer that I could distribute in the neighbourhood. So far, I have only done my own street, and that has netted me one promising lead....for one of the card clubs that I am offering. I am also trying to get ahead of myself (that NEVER happens) so that I have a bit of inventory on hand. That way if a craft show pops up I have some items ready. With the Christmas season on it's way, I am sure I will be hearing of some shows!

Keep watching for a 'web version' of my flyer to appear here at a later date.
Today, I finished my first custom card order since moving to the United States. I have another order pending...that one is for sticker book albums! Talk about a throw back to the eighties! :)

So, here is a little taste of what I have been working on lately.

I have lots in store for you, so keep on watching for more new things to come!
